Some of these tracks took quite a lot of sessions and production--
Crack/ ..., Fear .... Some were pretty straight-ahead rock n roll with a little overdubbing--
Hole ..., Buckets Of Blowjobs. ... Two Myles and I recorded off my basic music in one afternoon each---
Chiapas ... and Baby Hooker. The expressive playing by Henry and India on the latter track came as an afterthought to a session between them and Miya Masaoka and me in February 1995.
Crack/ ... was recorded in 1989 and mixed by Myles and me in 1994. Fear was done in 1992.
The rest were recorded in 1994 or 95 and mixed in 95.
I regret that its taken so long to get this album ready and I particularly thank John Baker and Terbo Ted for their patient, revelatory help with editing (John) and mastering (Ted).
I also thank Lawrence for the use of his prescient painting and Zapatistas in Chiapas for their rebellion, processes and ethics. May their vision of we win the world!
